The Weekender "Cody" is a sturdy travel bag made from waterproof, waxed 22oz canvas and hardened buffalo leather. The special material not only provides protection against moisture but also gives the bag a firm shape and a distinctive character. Whether for short trips, road trips, or motorcycle tours - this weekender is a robust companion that withstands any weather.

The travel bag offers a generous capacity of 50 liters, providing ample space for trips of up to 5 days or simply everything you need for your next adventure. The weekender can be casually slung over the shoulder or elegantly carried by the leather straps. 2 practical and large zip compartments on the sides offer additional storage space. Inside, there is another zip pocket for valuables.

The large toiletry bag "Otis" is the perfect companion for your trips into nature. Made from waterproof, waxed 22oz canvas and hardened buffalo leather, it not only provides protection against moisture but also a robust and distinctive look. Inside, the toiletry bag offers ample space and organization for your hygiene items and care products with 2 open compartments and 1 zip pocket.

With its adjustable size and roll-top function, the toiletry bag can be customized to your needs and thus fits into any backpack or travel bag.

Each bag has been handcrafted and is therefore a true unique piece. All wear points are edged with leather on the outside, and stress points are additionally reinforced, ensuring high durability and resistance. We are Daniel and Christoph and live our dream. We founded DRAKENSBERG because we want to inspire people to recognize the true value of travel and to strive for it.

To understand the path as the true goal and to grow on it. A good journey means learning. About life and about yourself. We know that a good journey can change a whole life. Our travel bags are silent reminders of the travel spirit of the 19th and 20th century, when traveling was still an adventure and travelers were adventurers.

The Heritage Collection

Our most sophisticated collection is specifically designed for intensive use in all weather conditions. Crafted to perfection from 22oz waxed cotton twill and toughened buffalo leather. Each bag in this collection is water resistant and offers protection for your gear, even in bad weather.

Over a year of development was required to get this collection right. Every detail was perfected. On the one hand, to emphasise the authentic character of the bags and, on the other hand, to ensure a high level of suitability for everyday use and robustness. For example, all stress points are secured with copper rivets that are individually hammered in by hand and are considered indestructible. In addition, these copper rivets develop a beautiful turquoise-green patina over time, which underlines the charm and uniqueness of this collection.

In general, the design is a declaration of love to all those who, like us, have a passion for adventure, nature and nostalgia. The bags are meant to inspire you to explore our breathtaking world, to discover new things, to understand, to find yourself and to grow from it.

Note: Leather is a natural material and may have small irregularities. Each leather product is also patinated by hand. This elaborate process makes our products unmistakable. Small colour variations are unfortunately unavoidable and not a sign of poor quality.

That's exactly how it should be. However, if you still feel the need to clean your bags, we recommend three steps:</p> <ul> <li>Remove dust and dirt particles, e.g., with a brush or hand vacuum cleaner.</li> <li>Gently dab and rub out stains with a clean and damp cloth. Our manufacturer is a small family business whose long-term employees craft our bags with a lot of heart and passion. Over time, our long collaboration has grown into a real friendship. The production conditions are socially responsible and comply with BSCI standards. We regularly personally ensure this. Our leather and cotton fabrics are sourced directly locally from India. For dyeing our cotton fabrics, we only use dyes that are free from AZO dyes. Our leathers are always vegetable-tanned, meaning based on plants and without the use of harsh tanning agents. Our standards are socially and ecologically responsible and above average. However, it is our ambition to continue to work on ourselves and further improve our ecological and social "footprint". </p>




Our leather production is LWG certified

Our leather tannery is certified to the LWG standard and we use only vegetable tanning agents for tanning. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is an initiative to make conditions in tanneries and intermediaries more transparent and to bring about sustainable change. To implement its goals, the Leather Working Group has developed an audit protocol for sustainable and responsible leather production.
