DRAKENSBERG toiletry bags are anything but ordinary. Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but an integral part of product design. We are primarily interested in authentic toiletry bags made of leather and canvas that could just as easily have been made 100 years ago. Natural materials are the focus, and plastic is rarely used.

We pay particular attention to the high quality of our workmanship. All items are hand-made and checked several times. The zipper for our items is from YKK. Production is fair and SEDEX-certified.

We are not fooled by "vegan" leather, which often actually contains plastic. Real imitation leather from plant sources is rare. The term "natural leather" is often overused, but for us it means real, unadulterated leather. We only use high-quality, full-grain buffalo leather for our leather toiletry bags.

A high-quality toiletry bag for the 21st century should not only be functional, but also convey an authentic and honest feeling. At DRAKENSBERG, we largely avoid plastic. Neither leather nor canvas is coated with plastic. Our fabrics do not contain any plastic fibers. The leather used is sustainable and vegetable tanned, although sometimes with minimal use of chrome.
