Because we believe that a good trip can change your whole life. The trip that changed our lives took us across South Africa almost 20 years ago. We only use vegetable-tanned buffalo leather for our leather men's toiletry bags. The particularly robust leather comes from India and is additionally finished by hand with a carnauba-based wax during production to achieve a special vintage patina.

How do I properly clean and care for my leather toiletry bag »Ben«?

We believe that a retro-looking toiletry bag should show how much it has been used. That's exactly how it should be. However, if you feel the need to clean the bag, we recommend the following three steps:

1. Remove dust and dirt particles from the toiletry bag, e.g. with a brush or a hand-held vacuum cleaner.

2. Carefully dab and rub out stains with a clean, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, try a mild soap solution.

3. Occasionally grease the leather lightly, for example with a care product based on beeswax or carnauba wax. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

On the other hand, you get a toiletry bag that will most likely last for decades. The quality and workmanship are flawless, valuable and very robust. The zippers run smoothly and smoothly and don't snag. I would have liked a little more creativity with the loops on the interior. The inner lining is made of cotton, if the patch is to be believed. Since cleaning the firmly sewn-in lining is difficult and a drop can sometimes spill with cosmetic products, you will have to put up with stains over time.

If I'm correctly informed, nylon is one of the synthetic fibers that you actually avoid. In the bag, there is also mention of cotton. However, it is not so easy to clean if something goes wrong.

The DRAKENSBERG Dopp Kit is a very high-quality cosmetic bag for men.
The genuine buffalo leather (fire test passed) is naturally tanned and stable, very high quality.

I can't find any defects in the workmanship. All the seams are where they should be and the zippers are good.
The interior layout is practical and well thought out. Perfect for quickly storing everything you need.
There are two small compartments on the inside and the lining is made of synthetic fiber so that it can be cleaned with a damp cloth. A real leather bag should of course not be put in the washing machine.

I particularly like the outside pocket, it has a nice cotton lining. Perfect for plasters and other small items????.

The Drakensberg company places great value on sustainability and has been certified by the German TÜV, with SEDEX social standards according to SMETA. This is a particularly strict audit and it guarantees fair working conditions and no child labor.

What you get here is a very durable bag that is cleanly and high-quality manufactured.
