It all started with the idea of designing the perfect travel bag. We sought the essence of travel in the past, when journeys were true adventures. The result is a dream of a travel bag. A homage to the true soul of travel. Travel culture in its purest and most original form. Based on the iconic basic shape of the travel bag that originated in the 18th century in Duffel, a city in Belgium. Living history with many authentic and practical details.

This two-piece set of high-quality buffalo leather includes the sporty weekender "David" (60) and the practical toiletry bag "Ruby". The weekender "David" (60) is ideal for longer weekend trips of up to 7 days. It can be casually carried over the shoulder or elegantly carried in the hand by the leather straps. Particularly easy to open and fill, it offers additional storage space of up to 80 liters with loose leather straps on the side.

The bag is excellently made, with all wear points reinforced with leather on the outside and additionally reinforced stress points. The bottom is padded and quilted in the elegant "Diamond-Stitch", our DRAKENSBERG signature element.

Thanks to a continuous zipper, the elegant toiletry bag opens wide, providing access to a spacious interior compartment. A sophisticated gift for frequent travelers, both men and women.

The "Ruby" toiletry bag in vintage look opens via a zipper. Additionally, the side flaps can be opened for extra storage space. Inside, the bag has 2 practical storage compartments that stay in shape thanks to elastic bands. There is also a useful zippered compartment inside.

The "Ruby" toiletry bag is handcrafted from natural and sustainable materials. The wash bag is of high-quality workmanship. All wear points are additionally reinforced with leather. All stress points are additionally reinforced.

CLEANING:

1. COARSE DIRT PARTICLES:

Use a soft shoe brush to thoroughly brush the leather. Then tap out the dust or carefully vacuum it away. Be careful not to scratch the leather.

2. FINE DIRT PARTICLES:

Lint and hair are best removed with a lint brush. Important: Do not use a sticky lint roller on leather surfaces to avoid damaging the patina!

3. REMOVE STAINS:

To remove stains from leather, first use a clean, slightly damp cloth and gently wipe the stain. Be careful not to over-wet the leather. For more stubborn stains, you can create a mild solution of hand soap and lukewarm water. There are also special leather cleaners, such as KERALUX Gentle Cleaner .

Apply the solution with a soft cloth and rub gently over the stain.

Avoid harsh cleaning agents at all costs, as these can dry out the leather or damage the color. After cleaning, it's recommended to treat the leather with a leather conditioner to keep it supple.

CARE:

To keep your leather bag supple and beautiful for a long time, regular care is important. Leather is a natural material that can dry out over time if not treated properly. For basic care, it is sufficient to wipe the bag regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and light dirt. Please also avoid extreme cold and direct sunlight when storing.

Re-greasing only makes sense when you notice the leather becoming brittle or dry, or when it loses its natural suppleness. This can happen after a few years, depending on use and environmental influences. Use special leather care products or leather grease rich in natural oils. We recommend Dr. Gee's Leather Balm . Apply a small amount evenly with a soft cloth, allow it to absorb, and then polish with a clean cloth.

Treating your bag with leather balm will also make it more resistant to moisture. However, we recommend using a colorless waterproofing spray, as leather balm typically removes the natural color.

Remember never to over-care for your leather bag, as re-greasing too often can soften the material and affect its shape. Every two years is usually sufficient to keep the leather in top condition.
