It all started with the idea of designing the perfect travel bag. We searched for the essence of travel in the past, when travel was still a real adventure. The result is a dream of a travel bag. A tribute to the true soul of travel. Travel culture in its purest and most original form. Based on the iconic basic shape of the travel bag, which was created in the 18th century in Duffel, a city in Belgium. Living history with many authentic and practical details.
The weekender »David« in size (M) is a sporty travel bag for weekend trips of up to 4 days. The bag meets the hand luggage requirements of most airlines. It is particularly easy to open and fill. The leather straps on the side can be loosened for additional storage space of up to 60 liters.
The bag can be casually slung over the shoulder or elegantly carried by hand using the leather straps. The weekender is of high quality. All wear points are lined with leather on the outside and all stress points are additionally reinforced. The bottom of the bag is padded and elegantly quilted in "diamond stitch". Pure cotton & fine saddle leather
Our Kimberley collection is made of extra-robust cotton canvas, which is produced in Germany. The production is particularly resource-efficient, as only recycled water is used for the dyeing process, which is then reused in a closed purification process. The dyeing is of course azo dye-free.
Our saddle leather, which is particularly thick and robust, comes from water buffalo and is vegetable tanned. It comes from an LWG silver-certified tannery. Our leather gets its special patina from a special wax that is applied by hand.
Pure cotton lining
Our lining is made of pure cotton twill, a soft and natural material. Its special weave gives it a fine, diagonal structure that creates a particularly elegant look. This high-quality lining underlines the luxurious character of our Kimberley collection and at the same time ensures high functionality. This means your valuables remain well protected and you can enjoy the comfort that only natural materials can offer.

We founded the DRAKENSBERG label because we want to inspire people to recognize the true value of travel and to strive for it. To see the journey as a destination and to grow from it.
